The Wilder School’s Center for Public Policy (CPP) has launched CompassPoint, a new podcast series that makes the breadth and depth of CPP faculty expertise easily accessible to a broad audience of citizens, planners, policymakers, investors and businesses.

"CompassPoint is a new media opportunity that features concise, thorough analysis from CPP experts and provides listeners with a holistic understanding of how the 17-jurisdictions that comprise the Richmond Metropolitan Statistical Area — really work," said Brittany Keegan, Ph.D. Keegan is the research coordinator and LUEP director for the CPP and the producer of the podcast.

The monthly, short-form series will also showcase the opportunities and applications of MetroViewa powerful geographic-based information resource that offers an in-depth look at the Richmond Metropolitan Statistical Area. MetroView was developed by researchers at the CPP's Center for Urban and Regional Analysis (CURA), and allows users to cut across the boundaries of the Richmond region’s local governments and track patterns and trends in land use, land value, business growth and other socio-economic indicators. The first episode features an overview of MetroView and its potential uses from program developers and research economists Fabrizio Fasulo, Ph.D., and Sarin Adhikari.
