Wilder School Students & Alumni Honored at NASPAA 2020 Virtual Conference

Wilder School faculty will be at the forefront of the first-ever virtual Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) conference held October 14-16. A total of 13 faculty, staff and alumni will be participating, eight of whom will be presenting during a blend of live and recorded panels. Additionally, two of our students and one alumnus will be honored during the NASPAA and Phi Alpha Alpha Awards sponsored by the VCU Wilder School on Friday, October 16. They include:
· Yali Pang: Staats Emerging Scholars Award
· Shaddi Zeid: Pi Alpha Alpha Masters Manuscript Award: Sea Level Rise and Climate Change in Virginia
· Alum Anthony Starke, School of Public Affairs, University of Colorado Denver, Social Justice Curriculum Award
Also on Friday, Wilder School Dean Susan Gooden will be presented as the network’s nominee for vice president during the network’s annual business meeting. If elected, Gooden will serve as vice president of NASPAA during the 2020-21 academic year and assume the presidency in October 2021.
NASPAA has over 300 member schools around the world that award degrees in public administration, public policy, public affairs, non-profit management and related fields.
