Gina Abena Amedeka

Master’s Degree in Communications, Bachelor’s Degree in Development Management

Gina Abena Amedeka is a communications consultant and development professional with over eight years’ experience in corporate communications and social entrepreneurship. She is currently works as a Research Assistant at the Parliament House of Ghana.

Gina founded Almah Africa, an NGO which advocates for girl child education and women empowerment across Africa. In the past four years, Almah Africa has collaborated with other NGOs in Africa to implement projects on gender based violence in Nigeria, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Benin, Sierra Leone and Ghana. She is also the founder of MCP Services Ghana, a communications consultancy providing consulting services with special focus on foreign companies seeking to invest in the Ghanaian economy leveraging on the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

Gina has a Master’s Degree in Communications, a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Management and is an alumna of the Mandela Washington Fellowship 2022 cohort. She will begin her PhD in Public Policy and Administration at the Virginia Commonwealth
University in the fall 2023. Gina hopes to further her career as a development consultant working in International
Non-Governmental organisations and Governments in Africa to enact and implement policies
and initiatives towards enhancing the development of women on the continent.
