Motivation

Karimjon Mullaboev's motivation and keen interest in joining the Wilder School of Government and Public Policy Ph.D. program at VCU is driven by a strong desire for continuous learning and gaining a competitive edge in American academia. He envisions this academic journey as an opportunity to gain invaluable international experience in crafting effective policies that can make a meaningful impact on a global scale.

Education: 

He possesses an exceptional and diverse educational background, complemented by numerous outstanding achievements throughout his academic journey.  He is on track to complete his studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, specializing in the Decision Analytics Program within the School of Business. Having commenced this academic pursuit as an international scholar in August 2022, he focuses on Management Sciences, delving into real-world industrial policy analysis.  

He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Seoul National University (Korea), an achievement earned in 2020. His research interests span various critical areas, including Diffusion of Innovation, Discrete Choice Modeling, Technological Generation of Product Innovation, and Demand Forecasting for Emerging Technologies, Consumer Products, and Services 

His journey started at Tashkent University of Information Technology in Uzbekistan, where he earned his Master's and Bachelor's Degrees in Industrial Engineering with a major in telecommunications, graduating with honors; he achieved summa cum laude distinctions in both degrees. 

International Experience

He possesses extensive overseas industrial experience, having held significant positions in various sectors, including the Telecommunication Industry, Government, and International Academic Institutions. His early career began at the National Telecommunication Company in Uzbekistan, where he worked from 2005 to 2012. During this period, he served multiple roles across different departments, including Marketing, Infrastructure Development, Investment, and Human Resources.

In 2012, he took up a prominent Government Position as the Department for Engineering Education and Curriculum Development Head at the Ministry for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan before studying for a Ph.D. at Seoul National University (Korea) in 2017.

His diverse experiences in various sectors and his dedication to academic and industrial pursuits showcase his versatile skill set and commitment to contributing significantly to technology management, economics, and public policy.
