Lilian Chineme-Ugwu holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. After her first degree, she was privileged to work with several companies in Africa, where she contributed immensely to the growth of the organizations before relocating to the United States to further her education.

She earned a Master’s degree in General Public Administration from Regent University, Virginia, in 2021. She worked with Regent University Library as the Circulation Assistant during this time. When she completed her master’s degree, she served as the Compliance assistant at Virginia Beach Housing & Neighborhood Preservation. She used her expertise to research the regulations and policy documents of the CARES Act and HUD ARPA legislation. 

She created a crosswalk that connects CARES Act regulations and housing-related/HUD regulations. Equally, She worked with Chesapeake public schools as a substitute teacher and is currently a graduate teaching assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Lilian is committed to ensuring that policies are adequately analyzed to make pertinent recommendations that serve the interest of the public at large. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, and visiting new places.
