ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Jason Burkett has spent over a decade designing and executing strategic research projects for government and higher education clients. Over half of this time has been spent at Virginia Commonwealth University collaborating with various state agencies, county governments, and municipal governments to enhance efficiency and resolve challenges that governments face. Additionally, Jason has provided technical assistance with many non-profit clients by providing research and consulting services to support their objectives.
Jason is particularly proud of his UX research studying physician use of healthcare software related to the opioid epidemic for Virginia's Department of Health, his on public opinion polling examining vaccine hesitancy related to the COVID-19 pandemic for Virginia's Department of Emergency Management, and his qualitative research examining citizen perceptions of the root cause of crime for the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney in Richmond, Virginia.
Prior to joining the Center for Public Policy, Jason was a Content Director at Hanover Researcher, where he served as a strategic thought partner to leaders of top-ranked schools and universities. In his role, Jason consulted with clients to establish their long-term research agenda and managed multiple internal teams to deliver high-quality research projects within agreed upon time frames.
